Mrs. Poole describes growing up in the Dayton Bellevue area and her family moving to Boone county due to the 1937 flood. Her family farmed and her father had a band with his brothers. She talks about her family history, her mother’s arrival at Ellis Island in 1925 and what it was like to grow up in a large German family.
